Professional Biography: I graduated from Murray State University in 1980 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education K-8. I completed a Master’s degree from Murray State in Environmental Education in 1986. My first year to teach was in a little country school in Salem, Missouri. Longing for home, I returned to Kentucky where I taught in the Lyon County school system for 8 years. Upon the birth of my son, I resigned to be a stay-at-home mom. I home schooled my two children for 5 years, and then God led us to Christian Fellowship School where I am beginning my 8Th year of teaching.
Personal Biography: I am married to Steve Bloemer, who is a Wildlife Biologist at Land Between the Lakes. We are very blessed with two children, Emily and Daniel. Emily was a 2006 graduate of Christian Fellowship School and is currently attending graduate school at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. She married her CFS high school sweetheart, Joey Adams-Jones in June. Daniel graduated from CFS in 2009 and is currently a sophomore at Lipscomb University, majoring in biology. We live ‘off the beaten path’ in Kuttawa, Kentucky, where we enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of God’s creation.
Philosophy Biography: I feel so blessed to be serving the Lord by having the privilege of teaching at a Christian school. Spending time each day with young people who have so many God given gifts and talents, and watching them mature and develop is a tremendous blessing. My desire is that each one of the students at CFS will come to know within the depths of their heart how much Jesus loves them, and allow His love to saturate their lives and overflow into the lives of others.
