Professional Biography:  I am a 1990 graduate of Mayfield High School and a 1996 graduate of Murray State University.  My degree is in Social Work and I minored in Psychology.  After graduating from college I immediately began working at Charter Hospital in Paducah, Ky. There I worked with tweens and teens with emotional and behavioral issues.  I LOVED it.  It was a very difficult job and left me drained each day.  However, it was one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had.  From there I went on to become a Home Health Social Worker in Mayfield, Ky.  I enjoyed the freedom of going into homes and counseling persons of all races and backgrounds and from all situations imaginable.  I stayed there until I was offered a job as a Social Work Director at Heritage Manor Nursing Facility in Mayfield.  This job was much more leisurely and taught me patience in a different realm.  Whereas I had learned patience with a tyrannical teenager, I had yet to learn the same patience with a slow-paced octogenarian.  It was very easy to get attached to the residents and I stayed at this job until I was eight months pregnant with my first child.  Stay-at-home mom became my career then for the next 10 years.

Personal Biography:  Christian Fellowship has been my home church since I was born.  I was in the same nursery class as my husband, so I guess you could say "we know each other pretty well".  I asked Jesus Christ to be my personal Lord and Savior as a young child and continued to grow in His love, teachings and gifts as a teenager and young adult.  There were many "bumps" in the road, but Christ always welcomed me back in His arms when I was tired of what the world was offering me.  After ten years of dating off and on, Mark and I finally decided to "go for it" and get married at the age of 24.  I had completed college at that time and was ready to settle down with career and family.  Mark and I have been married since 1996.  We began our family in 1998 with our daughter Abby and one year later (yes.... just 13 months later!!!)  in 1999 our son Beau joined our family as well.

Though our family was a perfect round number 4 with a girl and and a boy, I still felt something "missing".  Mark and I began praying about adoption.  After two years and several broken hearts when God closed doors to opportunities that we thought we were supposed to walk through,  He lead us to a precious two year old boy in Guatemala.   We brought Wilson home in 2006.

Since then Mark and I have had a growing passion for ophans in Guatemala.  We sponsor eight children in Remar Orphanage and have made many trips to visit them.   Hopefully our family is still not complete.  It is up to the Lord......
