Journalism 1 & 2 consist of two main categories: CFS Yearbook and CFS Newpaper.  Students in this class are required to assist with BOTH.  The yearbook is a yearlong process and requires LOTS of "on your own time" work.  Students are required to sell a specified dollar amount of ads for the yearbook as well as work together as a group to plan, arrange and fabricate the yearbook so that it can be sent to a publishing house by the end of the school year.  

Our school newpaper is a MONTHLY paper.  Each student is required to write articles, take photographs, and produce a 5 page paper once a month.

This class DOES require afterschool work on occasion, especially towards the end of the year when trying to make deadlines for the Yearbook.
