Focus-Christ's Major Experiences
Objective- Students will be able to identify the eight crucial events in the life of Christ in the order of happenings
1. Discuss Christ's Major Experiences-
a. Birth
b. Baptism
c. Temptation
d. Transfiguration
e. Triumphal Entry
f. Crucifixion
g. Resurrection
2. Scripture Search- find the scripture reference/story for each of these eight major happenings
3. Read and discuss text page 30
4. Map-plot the area of each of these happenings
Thursday-
Focus- Christ's Birth
Objective- Students will be able to list in order the events surrounding the birth of Christ
1. Scripture Lesson- Matthew 1:18-2:23 and Luke 1:5-80; 2:1-38-read and discuss in class together
2. Memory Work- Matthew 1:23
3. Discuss the background information concerning Christ's birth
4. Go over the outline-The prophecy of a virgin, the prophecy of an heir, and the prophecy of a place
The uniqueness of the birth, the uniqueness for the incarnation, and the necessity of reproach
