April Alexander
Christian Fellowship School
Elementary Art
Professional Biography: I graduated from UT Martin in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education. I have had many years of preschool teaching experience in public and private school settings. I also was a substitute teacher in Calloway County for elementary and special education classes. What a blessing to now be part of the CFS family!
Personal Biography: I am originally from Memphis, TN. After graduating from high school and moving to South Fulton to work as I attended college, I met my husband, Carey Alexander. We now have two children, Carley and Emma who attend CFS.
Philosophy Biography: Working at CFS was an unexpected answer to prayer. Since becoming a Christian at twenty, I felt God called me to fully serve Him through missions or in the ministry in some way. He is teaching me patience in this area, but I have seen how His calling me here was part of the answer to that calling. My hearts desire is not just teach art, but teach children the creativity of our Creator, to open their eyes to His goodness. My prayer is that each student comes to know that Jesus has made them unique and desires their hearts and their worship.
