August 2010
One week of school has past. Incredible as it may sound, we will soon be planning our annual Thanksgiving Feast for all of our families and friends of CFS and then Christmas will be here and gone, and a new year begins.
So much has happened and happened so quickly. Looking at our campus today, I took inventory of all the things that have changed over the summer. Of course the new gym floor is most noticeable and absolutely beautiful. The new computers and monitors in the lab are first class. The fresh paint on the walls and the sparkling floors give the place a fresh new look. The new sound system in the chapel sanctuary is outstanding. Much has been done. A lot of folks worked hard to make it happen. We are very thankful.
More than the facilities have changed. A lot of new faces bring change as well. The new students are excited to be a part of the Christian Fellowship School family. We are excited too. God has brought them and their families here. All of our students are ready to work. It is easy to predict that an outstanding year is about to unfold before us.
Of course that would not be possible if not for the teachers. I have never worked with a more dedicated group of people. They are generous, forgiving, helpful, supportive, faithful, faith-filled, gracious and grateful. God has brought these people here. He has given them to your children. Every day they pour themselves out loving, teaching, training, encouraging and supporting your children.
Taking inventory of it all, it is clear that this is God's doing. This is God's school. In fact, God works here. He is the first one here every morning, and He is still here when the last light is turned out. He is in every classroom, every day. He has never been absent. Never been late, He is always with us, watching over every promise He has made, making sure not a one of them is ever broken. He is faithful, doing a work that nobody else can do. Only God can change a person's life. Only God can touch a soul. His work always reaches into eternity.
I have at times, sat at my desk and wept tears of joy having received news of God's good work in this place. I have seen His miracles, I have seen Him answer prayer, and I have seen His good work. How wonderful it is to be a part of all the good that is taking place in this community, in our CFS family, the parents, the students, and the teachers. Jesus is Lord. From our hearts, with joy we confess, Jesus is Lord.
Pray for us. We will continue to pray for you. It is so good to be a CFS Eagle.
In His Service,
Bill Rowley
